My First Baby - Ketchup With Us #24

Baby girl, so BIG.  Is it appropriate to say that I gave birth to a toddler?

Nine pounds, two ounces.  Solid and strong.  No newborn sizes for this girl.

My best sleeper.  (Still is.)

Snuggly baby.

Shy little girl.

Outgoing preteen--now so tall.

My beautiful Lovey.  My freckly Feckle.

My first baby.  Always, my first baby.

  1. That's an incredibly sweet post. But holy moly she was a big baby! I can just picture those chunky thighs. Mine was so tiny I never got to squeeze any chunky ones. First babies are pretty amazing.

    1. All three of mine were over 9 pounds. I don't know what I would do with a tiny baby!

  2. Okay, my first baby started high school yesterday. So now you have me crying all over again. (It's actually not so hard to trigger these days.) Very sweet sentiment here. Be sure to let your girl read it. My kids love reading when I write about them. But, boy, do I need to choose my words wisely! :)

Thanks for playing Ketchup today! :)

    1. My first post this year was a Ketchup post about my toddler. Now I'll have to find one appropriate to my son. I love the challenge of 57 words. And next time I will have a Kleenex disclosure.

  4. Wow! That is a big baby! My hubs was almost 13 lbs and 24 inches long - I kept reminding the dr's of this while I was pregnant scared shitless mine would be. Luckily he came a month early 7 lbs - phew!

    1. Wow! Thirteen pounds is crazy! My son was 9lbs 3oz (no epidural, ugh!) and the toddler was 9lbs 9oz. I have no clue what a real newborn-sized baby is!
